Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church has been an “incubator” of Bishops:

Cyrus Townsend Brady

Lincoln Sunday Star 3/18/28 p D1

(1889-91) (Archdeacon of the Protestant Episcopal Church in America)

Brady was a US Naval Academy graduate. He wrote 60 books and novels, mostly “shoot-em-ups”, but also “Recollections of a Missionary in the Great West” (1900) and "Indian Fights and Indian Fighters" (1904), a much referenced work.

Mrs. Brady died in May, 1890, leaving three small children. Brady “lost heart for the work” and moved to Colorado. Mrs. Brady was buried in Crete, but was “later removed to the East”. The Altar Cross was donated in her memory.
